Well said, it is the fault of the people making the laws. They generally make the right decision based on the information they are given (unless there is a political agenda behind it, in which case, all bets are off.) Unfortunately, unforeseen circumstances and/or consequences can quickly change that situation. There are two other comments that I’d like to comment on 1) “If they are legally living there and paying the same taxes as you, then guess what, it’s their country too!” I think it takes more than legal living and paying taxes to make someone a part of the country. It also takes respecting the laws, traditions and natural-born citizens of the country that you have chosen to live. 2) To say you can’t blame the people for taking the same opportunities that our ancestors took, is a little too broad of a statement. It’s true if the person is moving to a new country so that they can better themselves and those they come in contact with. (I can’t imagine rural NF without the multitude of foreign doctors that have enriched their own lives and ours.) However, if they’re moving to a new country for a new opportunity and the face of that opportunity is a government handout, then they are a simply a burden on society. And, if all they want is a gov’t handout AND the opportunity to live their lives just as they had in the “old” country, then they move from a burden to a virus.
