P90X Week 1 Done
February 15 | Posted by Geoff | BlogsSo I finished week 1 yesterday and started week 2 today. Lost almost 5 pounds first week. Be nice to keep up those numbers, but I’d assume it’s faster at first and slows down in time.
So each of the first 3 weeks starts with Core Synergistics, which I got to tell you, were one of my least favorite in week 1. But I didn’t mind them so much today. I can already feel progress between 1 week. Whereas last week I was lucky to do half of what they did, this week I say I did around 75% to 85% overall.
I will say that week 1 the three routines I disliked the most were Core Synergistics, Ab Ripper X and Yoga X. I am already starting to like Core Synergistics, and I’m hoping when my abs get a little stronger, the ab ripper x won’t be so brutal. But I don’t know about this yoga x. First off it’s 90 mins long and falls on my Thursdays, the day of the week when I have less time than any other. Second, I’m sure it has benefits and stuff, but I’m not sure what they are exactly and therefore am not so committed to spending 90 mins of my busiest day doing them. I may change it up for 60 mins on the bike. We’ll see how this week goes.
I am doing pretty good on the diet, although I haven’t given up my beer (ie: aiming fluid for darts and pool) and am doing educated guess some days since I’m not much of a chef and tend to eat out a lot with friends. But now I have the chicken or fish, salads instead of fries, no burgers or subs (ie: no bread) and my snacks are fruits, veggies, frozen fruit bars, protein bars, etc. I have the occasional cup of tea but I hear that’s allowed anyway.
I think as long as I stick to the exercises everyday and eat healthier, I’ll get there eventually hopefully.
